Kirsten Pabst is a multi-media and plein air artist based in Missoula, where she lives on a small ranch with her family and horses. After a thirty-year career in criminal justice, Kirsten opened Sunridge Studio and the Sunridge Ranch Wellbeing Discovery Center, where clients develop resiliency tools through facilitated art and equine experiences.
Before attending law school, Kirsten studied art with renowned local artists such as Barb Schwarz Karst, Beth Lo, Don Bunse, and Jim Todd, ultimately earning a minor in art alongside her B.A. in Paralegal Studies.
Following the loss of a child, Kirsten had two pieces from her series, Condolences, accepted into the Missoula Art Museum’s 2012 Montana Triennial. The complete Condolences series was featured in a First Friday event. More recently, her mixed media art has been showcased at the Montana Museum of Art and Culture, the ZACC, and the Berkshire Hathaway Gallery.
Kirsten actively participates in a local en Plein Air group and creates mixed-media abstract landscapes in her studio, capturing the beauty of Montana’s wildflowers, mountains, honey skies, and horses.
